The Mexican Benito Guerra has in his home country, to ‘Champion of Champions’ was crowned. The rally pilot took in the semi-final of Loic Duval in 2013, the 24 hours of Le Mans won.

The Race of Champions took place this year in the stadiongedeelte of the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez which is also the GP of Mexico in Formula 1 takes place. David Coulthard, the winner of the Race of Champions last year, fell already in the group stage and also previous winners of the competition were already for the final. It was soon clear that the Race of Champions this year, a completely new winner would get.

A striking battle we saw between Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher. The son of Michael Schumacher, who last week the Ferrari Driver Academy joined in, beating Vettel and made it so that his compatriot is already in the group stage was eliminated. Schumacher himself saw, we killed at thuisrijder and former F1-pilot Esteban Gutierrez.

The Mexican hometown audience was in fact spoiled. In the semi-finals were standing next to Duval, after all, three Mexican riders. Gutierrez was killed in action in the semi-final against compatriot and eventual winner Benito Guerra. Duval finished in the semi-finals of thuisrijder Patricio O’Ward.

With Benito Guerra as the ultimate winner if the Mexicans, however, a strong party bets, which ultimately leads to some crazy scenes led. Guerra may now be a year-long ‘Champion of Champions’.
