The vrouwenmars against president Trump in January 2018
In the United States on Saturday, tens of thousands of people are expected to join demonstrations against Donald Trump, two years after his inauguration as president. The big demonstration will start at 10 am local time in Washington D. C., but also in other parts of the country are actions planned.
Last year came out at a similar protest more than 500,000 people on the streets, backed by the #MeToo and Time’s Up-movements. Just like when will this year’s pink knitted hats once again caught to be, a reference to the vrouwenmarsen. The protesters cards, among others, the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the judge in the American Supreme court, and denounced the sexist and racist statements of Trump, that several women have been accused of inappropriate behavior.
Meanwhile, the organization itself is under fire by accusations of anti-semitism. Cause is the participation of Tamika Mallory, one of the organizers of the march, at a meeting of Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam, which is frequently anti-semitic exhaust.
