David Goffin has Thursday qualified for the third round of the Australian Open in Melbourne, the first grand slam of the season. Previously placed Elise Mertens already for the next round in the women. Also in the doubles was the Belgian number one was successful, just like Kirsten Flipkens. On Court N. 7 in Melbourne had David Goffin (ATP 22) in the second round in four sets against the 28-year-old Romanian Marius Copil (ATP 60). Also, Kirsten Flipkens has placed itself for the second round of the doubles.
