Ysaline Bonaventure puts himself at Australian Open for first grand slam tournament, Kimmer Coppejans turned off

Ysaline Bonaventure has Friday placed for the main table of the Australian Open in Melbourne. The 24-year-old from Liège is for the first time in the final stage of a grand slam tournament. When the men could Kimmer Coppejans are not places for the master table.

Ysaline Bonaventure (WTA 158) h defeated in the third and last preliminary round, the Dutch Richel Hogenkamp (WTA 168) in two sets: 6-4, 6-3. The party took 1 hour and 9 minutes. The Belgian won the so far only mutual duel.

Kimmer Coppejans is not in place

In the men’s Kimmer Coppejans (ATP 216) Friday could not place for the main table. Coppejans lost in the third and final qualifying round of the Italian Stefano Travaglia (ATP 139) in two sets: 6-4 and 6-2. The party lasted 1 hour and 45 minutes. It was the third mutual duel between the 24-year-old Coppejans and the three-year-old Italian. Travaglia won the two previous meetings, last year on clay in Marbella and in 2017 on the European Open in Antwerp.

The West-Fleming took earlier in his career yet but one time the main table of a grand slam. In 2015, he lost to Nicolas Mahut in the first round of Roland Garros.

David Goffin (ATP 22) and Steve Darcis (ATP 315) are placed automatically for the main table.
