After a disappointing debut in the Formula E, the electric counterpart of the Formula 1, our compatriot Stoffel Vandoorne this weekend additional experience and possibly go looking for his first puntenfinish.
Despite the very challenging conditions during the first race weekend, the weather was a serious killjoy, managed Vandoorne managed to on the first startrijen to qualify. From there it went during the race, however quite a bit less.
Vandoorne started reasonably well but lost, then gradually places. After a collision, there were technical problems with his FE car. It was so not the race that Vandoorne had hoped and our fellow countryman, finished as sixteenth.
This coming weekend in Marrakesh for the second race weekend in the Formula E on the program and wants to Vandoorne to do better and go looking for his first points.
“I look forward to in Marrakesh to drive. The circuit is new for me. Some other riders have quite some experience but I’m confident in,” said Vandoorne.
“We will continue to build on the experience that we have in Riyadh have gained and I am sure that we during the race a whole lot better be able to do.”
For Vandoorne and his team, HWA Racelab, is the participation in the Formula E is a big challenge. For HWA Racelab, which is backed by Mercedes, after all, it is the debuutseizoen and both the riders and the team put their first steps in the sport.
