The French international Benjamin Pavard bears, starting next season in the shirt of Bayern Munich. The 22-year-old defender comes from VfB Stuttgart.
Hasan Salihamidzic, sports director of the German recordkampioen, confirmed the news Wednesday at the training camp in Doha. Pavard put his signature under a commitment for five seasons.
Bayern puts the Frenchman’s 35 million euros on the table, the contractually agreed lump sum.
Benjamin Pavard was at the world cup in Russia basisspeler with Les Bleus. His goal in the eighth final against Argentina was voted best goal of the tournament. If right, he played more 90 minutes in the semi-final against the Red Devils (1-0) and the final against Croatia (4-2).
Pavard is working on his third season with Stuttgart. Before that, he wore the jersey of Lille.
