Kirsten Flipkens puts himself in Auckland for the second round, Van Uytvanck off

Kirsten Flipkens (WTA 47) has on Tuesday placed for the second round (eighth-finals) of the WTA-tournament in the New Zealand Auckland (hard/ $ 250,000). Flipkens won in the first round of the American Sachia Vickery (WTA 101) in two sets: 6-2, 6-2. The match lasted one hour and three minutes.
