The nobel laureate died last Friday.
Natalie Portman is very sad because of the death of her good friend and author Amos Oz. Friday it became known that the Israeli winner of the nobel prize to cancer had died.
In his autobiographical novel, A Tale of Love and Darkness, was in 2015 filmed by Portman. On Instagram she placed a photo of themselves with the writer.
“My heart is broken. Today we have a soul, a spirit, a heart lost, Amos Oz, that has so much beauty, so much love and a vision of peace in our lives,” wrote Portman. “Keep him in your heart and read his beautiful books. My most loving hug for his family, whom he greatly loved.”
Portman, who in Israel is born and fluent in Hebrew speaks, played Fania in the movie which she also wrote and directed.
The actress and director told The Hollywood Reporter earlier that they are Oz and his wife, Nily, had met in their apartment in Tel Aviv, where she made her plans for the film adaptation of his book discussed.
Oz has published more than 18 books, including Black Box and In the Land of Israel. Together with his wife he had three children.
