‘Black’ by Pearl Jam again at the top in The Timeless

‘Black’ of Pearl Jam, for the fourth year in a row the number 1 voted in ‘The timeless’, the list of the hundred most timeless plates according to the Studio Brussel listeners. Queen and Nirvana, to complete the stage.

This year was especially looking forward to the number of women in the list after the campaign, ” Never a Tietloze’campaign pleading for more women in the list to vote. And that has been largely successful: six of the twelve newcomers this year are women.

So does ‘Respect’ by Aretha Franklin (the number given by the campaign itself pushed) in at number 25, and ‘I say a little prayer’ at number 55, sings Amy Winehouse ‘Back to black’ at place 30, while ‘Feeling good’ by Nina Simone on place 57 new arrives.

Three notable newcomers include Goose (’Synrise’), The War on Drugs (“Red eyes”) and Disturbed (’Sound of silence’): relatively young, songs with a lot of timeless potential.

There was this year also a huge strong riser on to note: ‘The chain’ by Fleetwood Mac was last year, at number 81, but rises to 14. In addition, Metallica Fleetwood Mac is the only band that no less than four times in The Timeless state. The top ten is made out of exactly the same numbers as last year, albeit through shaken:
