According to the U.s. tax authorities, the late Aretha Franklin still has an outstanding debts of 5.5 million euros. There is also a fine of a million on top of due to non-payment.

According to David Bennett, the lawyer of the heirs of Franklin, the singer most of her debt are still alive paid off.

“The legacy of mrs Franklin is now working on the ongoing issues to deal with,” said Bennett compared to TMZ.
