Keira Knightley admits that she is a posttraumatic stress disorder has accrued through her career in Hollywood. In an interview with The Sunday Times Style, tells the actress: “I had PTSD and panic attacks. I could literally go a year without working and I did not know that an end would come”.
The actress wanted to almost quit acting after a nervous breakdown in 2007. By the constant criticism from the press about her weight, appearance, and acting ability, she felt the pressure to be perfect. “I always wanted to be the best, and I always wanted to be perfect,” says Knightley. She is glad that her family and friends to support her along in that time. “I have a solid base, thank god. My family and a small circle of good friends have me on top of it helped. I think that without their support it was different past.”
Knightley, that in december, knighted by the English queen Elizabeth, eventually came by with her Hollywood career. “I wanted to not that they would win. The only thing I want to do is make movies.”
