Black Sabbath held in February 2017 in the home Birmingham. According to the American Recording Academy, the group has, to the public at large is primarily known for the song ‘Paranoid’, contributed “to our cultural heritage”. Sabbath has “the heavymetal-signs invented” that “each subsequent hardrockgroep have influenced”.
The group will receive the award on may 11 during a ceremony in Los Angeles. But Iommi and co will not be alone. A similar distinction also goes to George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic, Billy Eckstine, Donny Hathaway, Julio Iglesias, Sam & Dave and Dionne Warwick.
