The court of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, has a life-long prison sentence for a 36-year-old Belgian confirmed, for the trade in and transport of a kilo of cocaine from Brazil to Cambodia.
That reports the newspaper Khmer Times. The federal public service Foreign Affairs, confirms the conviction. “Although the accused, the accusations against him denies, he could for the court not prove that he was innocent,” says the court, according to the local newspaper.
The drugs was according to the local newspaper seized in January, in the airport of Phnom Penh. In the first instance was the Belgian Tanguy T. by default, all life-sentenced, according to Khmer Times.
The Belgian is on October 4, were arrested at the border between Cambodia and Vietnam. He asked for a new trial. A Belgian and accomplice (David C.) was in June sentenced to life imprisonment.
