Director of Events Filip Van Doorslaer has more than thirteen years of service decided by the Royal Belgian Football association (belgian football association) to leave for a new challenge, so made the belgian football association Friday known.
“Filip Van Doorslaer has been working since 2005 for the belgian football association and he leaves us on 19 January 2019. For many years he led the Marketing and Events department of our federation, and this with excellent results. He made sure, for example, that the upward trend of our national teams followed”, it sounds in a bondsmededeling.
“I look with pride back on everything I together with fantastic colleagues have been able to achieve in recent years”, says Van Doorslaer. “We have managed to get the federation to grow in many areas, and a more professional image. For me it was a great honor to be for the bond to work and my passion, my profession. I am thinking especially of the fantastic, talented and passionate colleagues with whom I have had the privilege of working. Them I all very hard to miss.”
After the departure of Van Doorslaer, there will be a number of adaptations have to be made. “Events is renamed the Operations and will be responsible for the operational organisation of all the events of the belgian football association. All activities of Events, which are related to our brands and our sources of income, move to Communication & Business Development, which in turn was renamed to Marketing.”
That latest department is Manu Leroy was appointed as managing director. He was previously on the bond brought in as director of Communications and Business Development. “Finally, we are also pleased to announce that Frédéric Veraghaenne from 1 January 2019 appointed as our new director of Operations. He will combine this feature with his current job as manager of the Belgian Football Centre in Tubize.”
