The International Cycling union (UCI) has on Tuesday confirmed that next season the same eighteen WorldTour teams in the top category of cycling will come true. CCC, the new team of Greg Van Avermaet, take the license over from the aborted BMC. Further, it changed nothing in the top of the cycling world.
The number of procontinentale teams drops from 27 last season to 25 in 2019. With the Danish Riwal Readynez, the Portuguese W52/FC Porto and Corendon-Circus from our country there were three new teams. Five teams fell off. Veranda’s Willems-Crelan merged with Roompot and CCC took over the license from BMC about to graduate to the WorldTour.
