PSV-attacker Hirving Lozano makes like in 2016 and 2017 likely to be voted player of the year in the CONCACAF, the football federation for North and Central America and the Caribbean. The Mexican is one of the ten nominees.
The 23-year-old Lozano ended the previous two years as second in the election. In 2016, when he was in his own country for Pachuca played, he was the prize to Bryan Ruiz (ex-FC Twente and PSV), and last year was Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas voted the best player.
Costa Rican Navas is again nominated for the election, in which both players in North and Central America are born players who now are active in the area a chance to win the prestigious prize.
