Recording epic Aquaman gevechtsscene lasted four months


Aquaman tells the story of Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) who is the heir of Atlantis, and should prove as a great leader. The movie comes out on december 21.

Actors Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson’s epic onderwatergevechtscène in Aquaman took four months to shoot.Wilson takes on the role of supervillain Orm/Ocean Master in the new DC Comics blockbuster, compared to Momoa as the superhero, aka Arthur Curry. An important scene revolves around the struggles of the half-brothers to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis.

The shoot turned out to be a real physical challenge. “There was a certain scene, this gladiatorenstrijd, for which we have at least three or four months needed,” say the two.

“We started in may, and have only really finished in October, and when they had to, of course, all the extra VFX (visual effects)” for…. we are under water.
