“This is the hardest that I have ever had to do. I have to say that my brother Pete Shelley this morning have had a heart attack and died,” writes Gary John McNeish.

Pete Shelley was the lead singer of the British punk band Buzzcocks. The group has in the Benelux never a hit, but it has a true cult status in the punkwereld. The British hit singles is Ever fallen in love with someone in the version of Fine Young Cannibals became known.

Buzzcocks was established in 1976 by Howard Devoto. Singer Pete Shelley was still a member of the band. Devoto stepped after only two years to go further with a Magazine and built a solo career on. Buzzcocks occurred today with singer Shelley, guitarist Steve Diggle, bassist Chris Remington and drummer Danny Farrant.
