The renowned Turner Prize this year to the British artist Charlotte Prodger. The 44-year-old Prodger was awarded for her partly with an iPhone-made shorts ‘Bridgit’ and ‘Stoneymollan trail.
Prodgers works witnesses of the “most profound use of a device as mundane as an iPhone camera, and that the art has ever seen”, praised the jury and director of Tate Britain, Alex Farquharson. The Turner Prize is the most important British prize for contemporary art. She is named after the English painter William Turner (1775-1851) and since 1984 have been awarded. The prize money is 25,000 pounds.
