It’s been 5 years ago that the French techno artist Gesaffelstein for the last a single came out. Now, there is suddenly the great Reset.
In the intervening time, Mike was Lévy (his real name) is not silent. He worked on albums by Kanye West and The Weeknd, made a soundtrack for the film of Maryland and made music with Jean-Michel Jarre. This came to his own productions, unfortunately, even on a second place.
Until earlier this year, suddenly, the billboards appeared in New York and Paris, where Gesaffelstein to let us know that he had signed with record label Columbia. Reset is the first official work. The song is both as dark as melodic with heavy bass and samples from classical pieces seem to come.
With the accompanying video makes Gesaffelstein a strong statement against the contemporary hip-hop. Together with director Manu Cossu, he shows a colourful collection of rappers and dancer step up where the most striking a doppelganger of 6ix9ine. So without raps and trapbeats there remains, however, little about the impression that the rappers make. The poses and movements are rather sad than cool.
