BRUSSELS – The European Commission proposes 500 million euros available to Ukraine for economic stability and structural reforms in the country to promote. According to vice-president Valdis Dombrovskis, the country has a need for “an expression of solidarity of international partners” on a “crucial moment that Ukraine is faced with new Russian aggression.”
Vice-president Valdis Dombrovskis is still more European money in order to support Ukraine.
The EU has, with this half a billion there since the crisis in 2014, is already 3.3 billion euros in so-called assistance programmes put more prosperity and stability. The payouts are linked to different conditions. So must the fight against corruption to be stepped up.
State of siege
In Ukraine since Wednesday the state of siege in force after an incident in the Sea of Azov. The Russian troops took over three Ukrainian ships seized through the Strait of Kerch to the Sea of Azov were entered. The crews were taken and are being held.
