Boca Juniors refuses to use the second leg of the final of the Copa Libertadores against River Plate in the Santiago Bernabeustadion of Real Madrid to play. The Argentine club is in appeal against the decision of the South American Voetbalconfederatie (Conmebol). Boca Juniors draws first to the beroepskamer of the Conmebol, and if necessary, to the International Sporttribunaal (TAS).
The return was initially previous Saturday on the schedule in the stadium of River Plate, but on the way of the spelershotel to El Monumental was the team bus of Boca under heavy fire by supporters of River Plate. The bus was pelted with stones and other heavy projectiles. Then, the players are exposed to by the police use of tear gas. The players of Boca declared that they no longer were able to play and ultimately decided the Conmebol to see the competition. Boca Juniors then asked for the green table victory and the overall victory in the Copa Libertadores, but the South American Voetbalconfederatie went in there not in.
Thursday, the Conmebol eventually the second leg, on 9 december at 20: 30 will take place in the Santiago Bernabeustadion of Real Madrid.
The two rivals stand for the first time opposite each other in the final of the Copa Libertadores, the South American equivalent of the Champions League. The first Superclasico ended three weeks ago in La Bombonera in a 2-2 tie.
