Manu Leroy is from 7 January 2019 the new director of Communications & Business Development at the Royal Belgian Football association. That has the belgian football association announced on Thursday.
The former Red Lion, which in 2012 if reservedoelman was part of the olympic hockeyploeg, started in 2004 mediacarrière in the production house of Carl Huybrechts. From 2005 to 2010 he worked in the advertising industry for Head Office, an agency specializing in content marketing. Leroy went in 2010 as Director of Sports to work for Telenet. He was responsible for sponsoring, communication and product (Play Sports).
“We are very pleased with the arrival of Manu Leroy to the royal belgian football association,” says Peter Bossaert, CEO of the belgian football association. “Manu is a true professional and as an ex-professional athlete he feels like no other our needs and challenges. He will in the short term, a lot of added value to the further development of the commercial communication policy of the royal belgian football association. We wish Manu a lot of success.”
“I’ve had a wonderful time at Telenet, but I’m very happy that I have a new challenge may enter into with the royal belgian football association,” explains Leroy. “In this job I will my passion for the sport and my skills in the area of communication and marketing combine. I am now very excited to get started with my future team under the direction of Peter Bossaert.”
The function was free since the departure of Michael Siméon in February of this year.
