Kevin Hart dares to remake of popular Korean comedy

The American actor and comedian Kevin Hart will be the comedy-drama ‘Sunny’ produce, reports entertainmentmagazine Variety. The film is a remake of the South Korean comedy-drama “Bye Bye Bye”.

Universal Pictures has a pitch received from HartBeat Productions, the production company of Heart. Amy Aniobi, screenwriter and producer of HBO series ‘Insecure’, the script will pens.

The film is a dramakomedie with female lead roles about a group of friends who 20 years after their secondary studies at a reunion. ‘Sunny’ was one of the most profitable films in South Korea in the year of its release, in 2011.

It is the second collaboration of Heart, Universal in less than a month’s time. The studio negotiated in October with Chris Rock at the comedy ‘Co-Parenting’ to get off the ground, with Hart as director, based on an idea of Rock and Heart.
