The 53-year-old cleaning lady got the high imprisonment because they years ago she graduated from primary school had forged to get a job as a cleaner at a public kindergarten. The woman had only five years of elementary education followed instead of the six years that are required for work as a cleaning lady. In court she said that she was in a desperate situation because they had to care for her two children and a disabled husband. Subsequently, she worked for nearly twenty years without complaint for the kindergarten.
The commotion in the land, not only by the high imprisonment which the woman received, but also by the fact that recently in Crete a woman was accused of a false university diploma. She was then not only released but even got her job back.
