The Brit K. K. Downing who for many years worked with Glenn Tipton the gitarenkransje of the he sewed himself Judas Priest has formed, will auction a series of guitars and other stuff, so Guitar World reported today.
One of the eleven guitars on 11 december at Bonhams in London auctioned is a Gibson Flying V from 1967, which for Downing the main guitar was on albums by Judas Priest, “Sad Wings of Destiny” in 1976 to “Point of Entry” (1981). Other guitars are a Custom V, a Fender Stratocaster from 1965, a Gibson Flying V Medallion from 1971, an acoustic Ovation Adamas (1972) and a Fender Precision bass from the same year.
Still to auction off his amps from Marshall and Mesa Boogie as well as some leather bühnepakken.
K. K. Downing (67) was in 1969 co-founder of Judas Priest. He left because of disagreements the group in 2011.
