MUNICH – Cees Nooteboom get the Horst-Bienek-Preis, a German award for his overall work.

According to the Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste, the 85-year-old Dutchman is one of the gerenommeerdste European writers. Especially in Germany he enjoys already for a longer time appearance.
The prize consists of 10,000 euros and will be on 6 december in Munich are presented. It is not the first prize for the writer. He was already rewarded with the Constantine Huygensprijs, the P. C. Hooftprijs and Dutch Literature Prize.
The German award commemorates the poet Horst Bienek (1930-1990), who the Academy money left.
