Actress Eline De Munck and musician Wouter Berlaen with their Crazy!?-theatre the annual press prize of the working Group, Further, the organization for survivors after suicide, won.
The winner was announced during the Day of the Survivors, an annual meeting for survivors after suicide. In the Spirit of Open-theatre performance of Crazy!? bring Wouter Berlaen and Eline De Munck, herself, relatives, songs and lyrics about suicide and about survivors.
“Open Mind of Eline and Wouter is a perfect example of a theatre performance where you are the taboo of suicide breaks out in a safe, serene and hopeful way. Important for us, as the jury is that the representation is both to take into account possible suicidal persons in the room as with relatives after suicide,” says president Lore Vonck, coordinator of working Group Continue. “An additional plus is that Crazy?! and the musicians extra advice came questions to working Group and the Flemish Expertise centre for Suicide that they clearly showed that the mediarichtlijnen were of great importance for their theater tour.”
The other three nominees for the award were Sara Van Boxstael of “Pano” with an episode about sexting, Belga News Agency for their “general secure messaging” and Thomas Jansen of The Importance of the province of Limburg for the article “Words, its support for all survivors”.
The press prize of the working Group was also previously won by the misdaadreeks “The Knight”, VTM-soap “Family” and The Standard journalist Veerle Beel.
