Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué should be a fine of 48,000 euros to pay because he was driving with a driving licence with points that was not valid. That has the Catalan Court Monday let you know.
The 31-year-old defender has since december of last year, no more points on his licence. According to the Spanish law if he than six months not driving, and he served under a sensibiliseringscursus to follow. Piqué did not do that, so his driver’s license invalid remained. On August 31, held the police, the football player charges after a traffic violation, and then Piqué no valid driver’s license could submit.
Piqué receives for each day of the eight months that he was in violation was a fine of 200 euro. In total, he must as 48,000 euro to pay. A large sum, but still less than the 72.000 euro that the public prosecutor’s office in the first instance asked. Such a monsterboete for Jan-with-the-pet a little drama and Piqué will sometimes swear but with an annual salary of reportedly 8 million euros (or 160,000 euros a week) is that, of course, somewhat easier to digest. At a little more than two days, he has the penalty already recovered the costs…
The barcelona-resident is not to his advantage. In 2014 he came already in contact with the court when he agents insulted him a fine wanted to give for illegal parking.
