Director Bernardo Bertolucci at College Tour
In this episode from 2013 received presenter Twan Huys, the then 72-year-old Italian film director Bernardo Bertolucci. The recordings took place in Rotterdam, during the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) where, at the time Bertolucci’s new film Lo e te (me and you) premiered.
The 72-year-old director is known from the films, Novecento, Last Tango in Paris and the Oscars award-winning film The Last Emperor. Twan Huys interviewed him together with students and showed short excerpts from Bertolucci’s life and work.
In the broadcast confessed to the Italian director that actor Marlon Brando on the set of Last Tango in Paris in 1972 during the infamous ’boterscène’ tegenspeelster Maria Schneider with intent aanrandde without that they in advance knew. Later reacted with Hollywood star here with disgust.
