Former coach Georges Leekens is already after a month and a half redundancies in the Tunisian top club Etoile du Sahel, for instance, the club Monday announced.
“The contract between the two parties is Monday morning in concert broken”, confirmed the club in a press release. In the Tunisian league is ESS currently fourth, Saturday, there was still a gelijkgespeeld against Club Athlétique Bizertin, the number three in the state. Wednesday follows the winner against the African champion Espérance de Tunis.
Leekens was only since mid-October at the battle of Etoile du Sahel and was there a total of seven games on the couch. He will now be replaced by his assistants, our fellow countryman, Patrick the Wild and Taoufik Zaaboub. The Wild was for some years the fixed as assistant to Leekens.
The 69-year-old Georges Leekens is already more than thirty years as a trainer and led Club Brugge, AA Gent and KV Kortrijk. He was also a two time national coach of the Red Devils from 1997 to 1999, and from 2010 to 2012. Leekens knows the football in Tunisia, because in 2014-2015, he coached the national team. In recent years he trained also KSC Lokeren and the national teams of Algeria and Hungary.
