The mum of two ukjes had so haunt but he did that with tremendous style. Even though it was only her first acquaintance with Koksijde, they are divided by the sand as if they never otherwise had done.
The holeshot was however for Sanne Cant. The world champion has tried early in the race, but that was against better judgement. “I have a whole night on the toilet spent, and that is never ideal,” said the Campine. “Hopefully, I’m not really sick.”
Betsema snuggled halfway through the race in a breakaway where in addition to Cant also the Dutch Sausage, and Alvarado’s part of it, complemented with the British Nikki Brammeier. Once in front, looked Betsema one round the cat out of the tree but at the end of the penultimate lap, she drove almost effortlessly away from its competitors. Brammeier about still for a while, but had in the final lap the head to bend for the Dutch.
