TEHRAN – The west of Iran is Sunday night rocked by an earthquake with a strength of 6.3 on the Richter scale. According to local authorities, there are as yet no deaths and the earthquake with no major damage. However, certainly 200 people were injured, but only a dozen of them, had to be treated medically. The shock was also in the neighbouring provinces, and in Iraq and Kuwait felt.

According to the U.s. geological service USGS found the trembling place at a depth of 65 kilometres in the province of Kermanshah. The epicentre was near the town of Sarpol-e Zahab to the border with Iraq. In that region, followed four aftershocks. The residents left in panic to their homes, and fled into the street, according to state television.
