“This was to be expected since the lord Maeschalck last season, both players of KV Mechelen as of Waasland-Beveren in the portfolio. My client offers his full cooperation in the investigation and granted in this case virtually nothing to condemn. Never was the lord Maeschalck any dubious act is asked whether he has anyone approached. “
“He was indeed in suspicion but also this is a very logical procedural formality in the context of a maximum waiver of his rights of defence. My client is, in fact, never before the magistrate appeared, and have not in any condition to keep. We regret strongly the fact that his name now is still public was made. We look already, with the utmost confidence to the conclusion of the investigation which the lord Maeschalck no doubt about the whole line will be exonerated.”
