The Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors continue to thrive in the NBA. Both teams, leader in, respectively, the Western and Eastern Conference, picked up Monday evening their tenth victory in eleven matches.
Champion Golden State put in for your own audience, in the California Oakland the Memphis Grizzlies to the side with 117-101. Klay Thompson crowned with 27 points to topschutter, for Kevin Durant (22 pts) and Stephen Curry (19 pts).
With ten victories in the first eleven match to draw the Warriors for the second-best start in club history. Only three years ago, they did even better. Then lost to Golden State only for the first time in the 25th competitiematch.
Nuggets in the footsteps of defending champion
Denver remains in the west, in the footsteps of the defending champion. The Nuggets took it with a 115-107 Boston and signed a handsome 9 out of 10. Jamal Murray was the luminary for the home team. He scored 48 points, a personal record.
Toronto piles up the victories in the Eastern Conference. The Canadian club defeated Monday night, Utah with 111-124. Four players from the Raptors made 17 points (Kyle Lowry, OG Anunoby, Serge Ibaka and Fred VanVleet).
Cleveland is the weakest team
At the other end of the standings dangles Cleveland. The Cavaliers, who this summer LeBron James kwijtspeelden on the Lakers, went with 102-100 back in Orlando. With just one victory in ten matches, Cleveland provisionally the weakest team in the NBA. Yet there was also positive news to pick it up. The board reached with interimcoach Larry Drew agreeing to the team to lead to the end of the season. He is the successor of the end of October, dismissed Tyronn Lue. That was with the ‘Cavs’ champion in 2016 and pulled out in 2017 and 2018 the final. But the weak competitiestart cost him the cup.
