Willem van Hanegem last week, been admitted in the hospital. The 74-year-old voetbalicoon had a lot of pain that was caused by a pulmonary embolism.
“Last week I was headlong taken to the hospital because I was in pain,” writes ‘the Crooked’ in his column in the AD. “It felt really terrible. I showed a pulmonary embolism.”
When a pulmonary embolism is a blood vessel to the lungs is blocked. The patient receives less oxygen in the blood and get short of breath. The treating doctors advise Van Hanegem much to go cycling.
