Karen Khachanov (ATP 18) Sunday for the first time in his career the Masters 1.000 tournament in Paris (hard/4.872.105 euro) won. The 22-year-old Russian defeated in the final of the Serb Novak Djokovic (ATP 2) in two sets. It was 7-5 and 6-4 after 1 hour and 39 minutes.
Khachanov wins his fourth ATP title. This season was the Russian, the best in Marseille and Moscow, in 2016 he won in the Chinese city of Chengdu. Khachanov was for the first time in his career in the final of a Masters 1,000, and won immediately.
The 31-year-old Djokovic was hunting on his 73rd ATP title, the fifth this year. He was, in 2018 also all celebrate at Wimbledon, the US Open and the Masters 1,000 of tournaments in Cincinnati and Shanghai. The top tournament of Paris won ‘Nole’ four times. He triumphed there in 2009, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Djokovic came Saturday night for the final after a thriller against Roger Federer (ATP 3). Only after more than three hours vloerde he Swiss with a 7-6 (8/6), 5-7 and 7-6 (7/3).
