IOTA and High Mobility to close partnership: application development for Smart Mobility
Home News IOTA, and High Mobility to close partnership: application development for Smart Mobility
Marcus Misiak –
IOTA and High Mobility want to work together to develop a solution that closes the gap between App developers and car manufacturers, in the hope that will be a hub for the development of Smart Mobility Services. According to a Medium Post, the two companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding. Already on 06. November they will present on the IOTA Meetup their first joint project.
High Mobility is a multi-award winning API platform company, focused on digital development tools for connected cars. The products of the High Mobility is to simplify the cooperation between automotive manufacturers and software developers, and will be the crucial layer of software between the networked car and the outside world. In this interface between automotive manufacturers and software developers, IOTA would like to take now the foot, and the IOTA Tangle.
The first joint project, which will start in just a few weeks, to show why agile Start-are positioned ups as High-Mobility well, in order to accelerate the acceptance of the technology from IOTA. To start the collaboration, focused, the two companies on a Blueprint for Smart Charge, shows how to developers create Apps using standardized Connected Car API of High Mobility on the IOTA platform and can test: The Initiative aims, the value of the Open-Source technology from IOTA and real-world applications, to implement and to catalyze the Ecosystem of both parties.
Alisa Maas, Head of Mobility and Automotive, IOTA Foundation, said:
In the course of the last month, the Foundation has expanded its open and admission – free mobility and automotive Ecosystem, and an “Early Adopter” movement started. When I met 2016 in Stuttgart, the founder, Kevin Risto, I liked her pragmatic approach and their focus on solving real industry problems immediately. I am convinced that Bridging the gap between businesses and developers and the implementation is easy to solve-use and scalable Tools, the main problems in the introduction.
Kevin Valdek, CTO of High Mobility, said:
We have large interest from the developers to the combination of vehicle data with a distributed Ledger technologies seen. With the Ledger of IOTA and of the team’s Vision for future mobility, we will see how it is applied in many new services. The type of applications that can be enabled with the cutting-edge technology and the vehicle data from IOTA, is varied. In the first Blueprint, we not only see how the vehicle data in a Ledger can be transferred, but also, as with the charging infrastructure and payments can be combined. I am confident that this ideas included in our Community.
The Internet of vehicles
The main objective of IOTA is to revolutionize simplified said, the industry with the introduction of a decentralised Internet of Things (IoT) platform, in which machines communicate with each other and their performance in the exchange of data in real time to optimize. And while this is a concept that implies any type of Internet-enabled machines, it seems that a main focus is currently on the automotive industry.
For example, in the case of the bIOTAsphere event on 27. September presented in Toronto, Canada, a Proof-of-Concept for the insurance of automobiles, in which the Tangle, real-time exchanges data with the insurance company to change insurance rates according to driving behavior.
