’Bin Salman called Khashoggi danger’

WASHINGTON – The Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman has the murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi, in the days after his disappearance described as a dangerous islamist, a member of the muslim brotherhood. This he did according to The Washington Post in a telephone conversation with Trumps son-in-law Jared Kushner and safety adviser John Bolton before Riyadh agreed that the columnist had been killed in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

The attempt of the de facto ruler in Saudi Arabia Khashoggi in a poor light, is in stark contrast with the subsequent governmental declaration in which the death of the journalist was rejected as a “horrible mistake” and a “terrible tragedy.” The event was “very painful for all saudis, and not to justify,” said prince Mohammed last week in a panel discussion.

Khashoggi was often accused the muslim brotherhood to belong to, but that was always denied. “He was in no way dangerous. Anything claiming otherwise is utterly ridiculous”, responded his family. The Saudi ambassador in the US, Khalid bin Salman, called Khashoggi last month, “a friend.”
