Trond Sollied signs contract with Lokeren and following initial training… from the car

Sporting Lokerentrainer Trond Sollied followed the ball but his brand new club… from inside the car. He sets the tradition of president Roger Lambrecht, who arranged a training share from his car. Sollied signed afterwards a contract until the end of the season. Friday at 13 hours, the coach introduced at a press conference. He follows Peter Maes.

“It’s true that my last command, dating back to 2013,” says Sollied. “But don’t worry, that does not at all mean that I am from the soccer am stepped, quite the contrary. I follow international football and especially the Belgian league closely. That almost felt like a day’s work. But the last time tickled, really, to get back on the pitch, with players to start the work. I know, of course, also Sporting Lokeren, albeit somewhat from a distance. From today I’m me to the acting. I want the players individually to better know and will be extended with the staff to introduce themselves. At this moment, I’m still in the plaster by a achillespeesblessure, but even that will not me able to plugging. I want this traditieclub help, to the extent possible.”

Sollied was in the 80’s, a success player in their own country. He played successively for Valerenga IF, Rosenborg BK and FK Bodo-Shiny. The latter club he started his trainerscarrière.

At the end of december 1998 he went for the first time in our country to work, in particular for AA Gent. From 2000 to 2005 he was a coach at Club Brugge, with whom he twice won the national championship, two times the cup is won and twice the Supercup. After a short intermezzo at the Greek Olympiakos Piraeus, he returned to Belgium (AA Gent 2007-2008) and the Netherlands (Heerenveen, 2008-2009). Thereafter followed a few shorter assignments at Al-Ahli, Lierse SK, AA Gent. His last assignment was at the Turkish Elazigspor in 2013.

On Friday, he is effectively coach of Sporting Lokeren. His command is clear: as soon as possible the club out of the danger zone pilots. Lokeren shares currently in last place with Mouscron and Zulte Waregem. Thursday draws Lokeren to Anderlecht, but Sollied is not yet on the bank.
