The fiance of the murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Hatice Cengiz, calls on western leaders to not to join in the cover up of Saudi Arabia.
Hatice Cengiz came to the word during a memorial ceremony for Khashoggi in London. She called for western countries to pursue justice. She criticised the reaction of different countries on the murder of her fiance, and took the United States in particular come under fire. “I am disappointed by the actions of leaders in many countries, but especially of the United States,” she said.
‘President Trump would have to help bring the truth to light, and ensure that there is justice. He may not be cleared for the silence of the death of my fiance’, said Cengiz. “Let money our values are not a cover-up.’
President Trump said that the murder of Khashoggi, ” a strong answer would be given, but that he is the relationship of his country with Saudi Arabia did not want to deteriorate.
