Bon Jovi will be the headline act of TW Classic 2019. The organization today announced that the American rock band around Jon Bon Jovi, the day of the festival on July 14, quit. Also, John Fogerty is that day on the stage of the festival grounds in Werchter.
Bon Jovi, that is more than three decades of band, more than 130 million-selling album and singalong songs like “You Give Love A Bad Name’, ‘It’s My Life’, ‘Wanted Dead Or Alive’, ‘Bad Medicine’ and ‘Livin’ On A Prayer. The band toured in 2017, and earlier by the US and South America, with the This House Is Not For Sale Tour, and that tour will now also have a European tail.
“Bon Jovi has a rejuvenation treatment to undergo,” says singer Jon. “This band does it every night. We sound better than ever, we enjoy every minute. We are as a band, inspire each other and the fans. And especially: we will have the time of our lives.” The group is prepared at the start, promises the organization. “Well, 95 of the songs are rehearsed and are alternately used. The classics are missing anyway.”
The last gig of Bon Jovi in Belgium dates back to 2011. Werchter has the Americans in a more distant past. In 1995 and 2001, they played their own shows in the Festivalpark.
TW Classic made today also announced that John Fogerty, the frontman of the rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival, on the 14th of July comes round on the meadow. The sale of tickets for TW Classic 2019 will start on Friday, november 2, at 9am via proximusgoformusic.be and ticketmaster.be. Further line-up of the festival is later published.
