The talented Swiss rider Gino Mäder, true for a national selection, Sunday is the sixth stage in the wielerronde van Hainan (2.BC) to his name. In the ranking of the Chinese stage race, must Mäder, Dutchman Raymond Kreder (Team UKYO).
Mäder showed himself the fastest of a group of thirteen riders that after 193 kilometres between Lingshui and Wizhishan afscheurde of the peloton. The 21-year-old Swiss kept the Canadian Guillaume Boivin (Israel Cycling Academy) and the Italian Lorenzo Rota (Bardiani-CSF).
Raymond Kreder finished in fifth place. The Dutchman could have no ride to win, but ended up for the fifth stage in a row in the top five. Its consistency provides Kreder, for now, the leader’s jersey on. In the standings, he has a lead of seven seconds on Mäder and eleven seconds on Boivin.
Monday is the seventh of a total of nine stages driven, on a trail of 127,3 kilometers between Wuzhishan and Sanya.
