The Belgian film “Rosie & Moussa”, from director Dorothée van den Berghe, in Amsterdam for the Cinekid Lion for best film won. The film received the jury prize at the Cinekid Festival 2018. According to the organization, the festival is the largest kindermediafestival in the world.

The Cinekid Lion for best Dutch fictieserie went to the television series “The rules of Floor” (VPRO). The best Dutch non-fictieserie was according to the jury, “The test kitchen” (VPRO).

Also the publiekswinnaars are published. The visitors of Writers could do so the whole festivalweek cast their vote. The audience chose the Norwegian road movie “Los Bando” from director Christian Lo’s best film.

The best Dutch family film was made for both jury and audience “Vechtmeisje” by Johan Timmers.

“Rosie & Mousa” is based on the books of the KVS-director Michael De Cock and illustrator Judith Vanistendael, about two children in Brussels grow up. The film tells the story of Rosie, who, with haaar mother to Molenbeek moves. They learn the boy next door Moussa know, with whom they have the apartment building and the rest of explore the city.
