Tänak has a lead of 26.8 on the Spaniard Dani Sordo (Hyundai i20) and 29.7 on the Brit Elfyn Evans (Ford Fiesta). Sébastien Loeb (Citroën C3) is 4th on 30.2 of Tänak. Between 2005 and 2012, won the Frenchman eight times in the Rally of Catalonia. The rival of Neuville, Sébastien Ogier (Ford Fiesta), it is currently 7th, 39.4 of the leader.
