The Greek football federation has said goodbye to head coach Michael Skibbe. The German got Thursday to hear that he has to leave because of disappointing results in the Nations League.
Angelos Anastasiadis was appointed as the successor. The 65-year-old coach is the first Greek who the national team leads since seventeen years.
Skibbe was in 2015 appointed after Greece failed to qualify for the European championship of 2016. It succeeded the Greeks also don’t have a ticket to achieve the world CHAMPIONSHIP of 2018.
Anastasiadis was head coach at several Greek clubs. From 2004 to 2011 he headed the national team of Cyprus.
