Novak Djokovic (ATP 3) has on Friday placed for the semi-finals of the Masters 1.000 tournament in Shanghai (7.086.700 dollar). The Serbian was, in a reissue of the Wimbledonfinale, 7-6 (7/1) 6-3 to strong for the South African Kevin Anderson (ATP 8).
To advance to the finals, second seed Djokovic is over the German Alexander Zverev (ATP 5). Who defeated earlier in the day on the Chinese hard court to Brit Kyle Edmund (ATP 14) with twice 6-4.
The 31-year-old Djokovic won the Shanghai Masters three times already, in 2012, 2013 and 2015. Last year, he was there by injuries.
