Caroline Wozniacki wins after eight years China Open

Caroline Wozniacki has Sunday for the second time in her career, the prestigious China Open (hard/8.285.274 dollars) won. The Danish, number two of the world, defeated in the final the Latvian Anastasija Sevastova (WTA 20). It was 6-3 and 6-3 after 1 hour and 27 minutes.

Wozniacki is the ninth title of her career, the third this season. They won in 2018 also all of the Australian Open (her first grand slam), and on the grass of Eastbourne. The China Open won the Danish for the first time in 2010.

Sevastova, just like Wozniacki 28 years, won so far three WTA titles: Estoril 2010, Mallorca 2017 and Bucharest 2018.

Wozniacki follows in the hall of fame in Beijing, the Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia.
