Caroline Wozniacki (WTA 2) is Thursday at the WTA tournament in the Chinese capital Beijing (hard/8.285.274 dollars) assured of participation in the Masters. The Danish beat Estonian Anett Kontaveit in the eighth-finals in 7-5 and 6-4, and picked up her ticket. Also the Czech Petra Kvitova (WTA 4) can prepare for the final showdown in Singapore.
Kvitova benefited from the loss of the Dutch Kiki Bertens (WTA 11) in the third round crashed against the Czech Katerina Siniakova (WTA 40): 6-4 and 6-3.
A total of five players have already qualified for the Masters, a tournament from 21 to 28 October, between eight of the best tennissters of the season. In addition to titelverdedigster Wozniacki and Kvitova also have Simona Halep, Angelique Kerber and Naomi Osaka their ticket bite. Elise Mertens and Dutch Demi Schuurs take part in the doubles.
