The feature film “Angel” of the Belgian director Koen Mortier will as of February 13, 2019 in the French movie theatres. The film was purchased by the distributor, Wayna Pitch, so is to be notified by producer at CZAR Film, and by sales agent, Oration Films.
“Angel” is the film adaptation of the book “Monologue of someone who just was against self-talk’ by Dimitri Verhulst. The film shows how the world-famous cyclist Thierry (played by Vincent Rottiers) during his holidays in Senegal falls in love with the prostitute Fae (Fatou N’Diaye). When Fae in the morning discovered that Thierry died, she, despite her innocence, was arrested. In order to move on with her life, she must return to the room where it all began.
The story is inspired by the life of cyclist Frank Vandenbroucke.
It is not the first time that distributor Wayna Pitch a boekverfilming of Dimitri Verhulst reports in France. That happened previously with “Problemski Hotel” from director Manu Riche.
